    Nemo's Reef - PLANT COMBINATIONS

    Hi folks!

This thread WAS about the discovery of new plant combos in an organized way.

Since techies have joined this forum it has become much easier to discover combos.

Here's a list of all plant combinations based on the current game definition file from ElTablette. THANK YOU!! (The images of the little fish mostly originate from AngelDoodleFish's PDF guide):

    Great idea!
I'll take a look at these:

    Pipe Coral
    Finger Coral
    Cup Coral

Corals cannot be part of the combinations. It is only the LIVING plants that are part of the combos that attract the small fish to live in them. Ex: yellow table plant + red branches

I beat the living daylight a out of combos for yellow sponge bed. No luck with anything up to level 25 I think (?).

Another thought I had posted who knows where now I've posted a lot. If you look at I think it was "play nemos reef online" thread there is a last page that has the splash page of nemos reef "dive into...". On that page is a few of the combos already. I was half tempted to make my reef look exactly like that to see what other combos might have been lurking as Easter eggs on that screen shot. Never know what they might have given away free hidden. Never did try it though.
Also there is what looks like a crab which I have never seen anyone with yet.

Thx for that info! How do you know that?

    I agree with YashiBird.

If you look at the past successful combos, they're all living plants along with ornamental and/or specials (rocks etc)

So, looking at the living plants - the only ones we haven't been able to find a combo are the Red giant grass, and pink sponge bed (not including the pearl bought items).. Everything else has a combo.. these two are the only ones that don't, that I know of.. so it might be good to start with these..

We should include Living Plants that cost pearls as well since the Giant Green Grass turned out to have a combo. Also, I noticed that there have not been any repeats , for example the Flat Rock is only used in one combo, same for all the other plants and rocks used in combos. So we only have to try the ones that haven't been found to make a combo yet. It narrows it down a little at least.

Do you know the combo for the Yellow sponge bed?

Giant green grass s the only pearl bought item with a known combo?

No, I don't know of any combo for the yellow sponge bed. I am not even sure if there is one.

My point was that the combos that we know of have living plants in them. Regardless of SD or Pearl bought..

I don't remember exactly what was instructed since its been a while, but when first beginning the game and completing the first tasks Marlin basically explains that the living plants are where other fish can live and by adding the decorative plants and special objects you make them more attractive to potential tenants. The corals are pretty much just food.
